Change filter element every 3,000 miles or every 3 months, whichever is the sooner for the Mini-Matic and every 6,000 miles for Manual Transmission models under favourable conditions or more frequently under adverse conditions. The filter change to coincide with an engine oil drain.

FRONT SUSPENSION 

(3 points each side)

Castrolease LM Grease (All Purpose)

Raise front of vehicle and lubricate every 3,000 miles or every 3 months, whichever occurs first.

Castrol Anti-freeze

Check coolant level daily, replenish if required.

Add 1 1/2 pints of Castrol Anti-freeze for anticipated temperatures of 32°F or less.

Replace coolant twice a year.

Castrol XL 20W-40MS

Apply a few drops every 3,000 miles or every 3 months, whichever occurs first.

Synchromesh:   8 1/2 pints

Automatic:         9 pints

Oil  Cooler:        3/4 pint

plug.

Drive Spindle and Contact Breaker Pivot

Castrol   XL  20W-50MS

Every 6,000 miles apply one drop of oil to the Contact Breaker Pivot and two drops to the Screw in the Cam Spindle Centre.

Cam — Castrolease LM Grease (All Purpose)

Every 6,000 miles apply a smear of grease to the Cam Profile.

Castrol XL 20W—50MS

Every 6,000 miles check the Damper Reservoir and maintain correct level at 1/2 inch above the hollow piston rod.

Castrol XL 20W-50MS

Mini Matic: Castrolite 10W—40MS

Check level daily with engine stopped and car level; top up if required. The manufacturer recommends oil changes at 3,000 mile intervals under ideal driving conditions, however, such conditions are seldom met, particularly where dusty conditions or city driving is encountered. The car maker agrees to more frequent oil changes in these circumstances. We recommend the best engine protection can only be had by draining the oil at least every 60 days.

Renew complete Cap every 12,000 miles.

Castrol Girling Brake and Clutch Fluid (Amber)

Maintain correct level at 1/4 inch below filler neck.

Castrolease PH Grease or Castrolease LM Grease (All Purpose)

Smear lightly with grease every 3,000 miles.

Lubricate every 3,000 miles or 3 months, whichever occurs first.

Inlet and Exhaust  .012 inch (cold)

SPARK PLUG GAP  .025 inch

CONTACT BREAKER GAP  .014 to .016 inch
